Empowerment Developer with Heart

Rita Schoeman is one special tribe member who has a big heart. Let’s get to know this amazing woman as she shares her journey, about her business, and how we can become the bestselling authors of our own story.

Rita was born and raised in the Eastern Cape on a farm in the Tarkastad district where she went to school. The Koi San legend say the word Tarkastad means “mooi meisie fontein” where she spend a year at the South African Women Amy College in George. In the years that followed, Rita completed her diploma in Cost Management Accounting in 3 years at PE Technikon. The next 4 years that followed, Rita was an Accountant at Lingehlile the black to local authority in Cradock. She then moved to Johannesburg where she met her husband, but unfortunately his soul was called for higher duties. After 15 years at Edcon, working in all their business units, Rita left the corporate world at the end of 2014 to start a business in collaboration with a friend, but it was not meant to be. “This left me with a journey that I can only describe as “the dark night of the soul.” In this space the only thing that I was aware of, was this force that kept on pushing me to find the truth. “Rita’s business name is COACHING WITH HEART, nimble, unassuming, and independent.

What type of coaching do you do?
I am your empowerment developer. I use an integrative transformational coaching approach, which allows me to be unhindered by the traditional way of thinking and working. Often there is “something” preventing you from living the life that you want to live. We can think of this “something” as a glass ceiling, an invisible force that you bump your head against every time you try to make personal and professional changes to your life.

What is Life Coaching?
What is empowerment?
The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s (own) life and claiming one’s (own) rights.
If the above definition is TRUE, it then means…

Right? But…Why is it so difficult to be the creator of the empowerment that I am seeking?
Very simple…
It depends on the story that you are telling yourself, consciously or unconsciously.

Why did you decide to become a coach?
It was the only way that I could heal myself, the only way that I could become the bestselling author of “I am the story that I am telling myself.”

What do you enjoy the most about coaching?
The transformational coaching process will unlock the solutions that are within you, empowering you to become, to know, and trust your inner capability and strength.

Who is your ideal clientele?
The individual that says “I am upset because of…
You do not listen to me
You do not understand me
My behaviour that lets me down
My partner does note relate to me the way he/she should
“Things” out there disturbs my peace
The terrible traffic
Life is unfair

What advice can you share with the tribe?
– Coaching is an investment of time and energy, but your ROI is exponential.
Ask yourself:
How much is having a job I love worth?
How much is having a life I love worth?
How much is my time worth?
How much is my happiness worth?
How much am I worth?
